WEATHER AND CLIMATE IN aUSTRALIA
Australia's weather and climate
Australia's weather and climate is different in every state and territory and differs depending on the time of the year. Not all of Australia is desert and out back and also consist of rain forests, forests, tropics and mountains but a lot of it is desert with hardly little rain. Australia is so dry because there isn't really any significant land forms as it is very flat to create orographic rain fall.

Australia has lots of different climates as you can see in the diagram above. You many not know how all the climates effect the type of weather in the specified area.
TROPICAL= often located near the equator, with high temperatures, a lot of rain at a certain point of the year and can be reasonably humid. It can be found at the tops of QLD, NT and WA. Eg. Daintree rain forest QLD
SUBTROPICAL= a area that has both a hot and cold season but the hot season is reasonably longer while the cold is milder than other climates and is rainy. Located at the bottom of WA and coastal region of QLD. Eg. Coffs Harbor NSW
DESERT= often dry, sandy region that consists of little rainfall, high temperatures and little vegetation. Located in the middle of Australia and is majority of WA and SA. eg. Simpson desert SA/NT
GRASSLAND= often have little rain and consist of cold winter and hot summers. They have enough rain to sustain shrubs and small trees. Located surrounding desert climate and found in every state and territory except TAS. Eg. Port Augusta
TEMPERATE= Has no extreme hot or cold temperatures anytime throughout the year but is fairly moderate. Found at the coast of NSW and the bottom of VIC and all of TAS. eg. sydney
